GREEN ECOSYSTEM

In today's world, it is of utmost importance that we carefully manage our natural resources. smart lighting and automation systems and solutions are designed to drastically reduce energy consumption and enabled to reduce the CO2 level, One of the most sought important green aspects.

Centralized Outdoor-Light Control

Aatapaha Centralized control and monitoring system provides the solution which is completely a web based with advanced communication and easy integration on existing installations. A centralized system is easy to implement and requires less equipment compare to a standalone control panel.

Aatapaha outdoor light management system and controller is a device that automates the entire process leading to significant energy & cost savings. It also provides facilities for remote control of the outdoor lights using GPRS/GSM/LoRa technology. Centralized Outdoor Lighting Controller is a comprehensive system which can be connected to all kinds of LED Streetlights including existing conventional lights. The System is fully programmable and controlled remotely via user-friendly web application. The user can also monitor & create reports on important parameters such as total power consumption, Fault detection, load balancing through the web application. Centralized Controller consists of two components: IoT enabled Gateway and Web application

Gateway/Controller

  • The brain of the gateway is a micro controller. It interacts with other major components such as contactor, energy meter and GPRS/GSM modem. All these components are placed inside an secured enclosure.
  • The Gateway is placed at the switching node/point
  • Energy Meter certified IS-13779 standard is either 3 phase or 1 phase and it sends Meter data to the Microcontroller at preconfigured intervals that can be programmed and works on Modbus RTU protocol.
  • The Gateway engages in a two-way communication with Web Application. It receives commands from the Web Application to turn on/off the streetlights. It also receives commands via SMS to schedule turn on/off of lights. It sends the data it receives from meter etc to the Web Application via the GPRS modem
  • It has self-protection from conditions such as short-circuit, over voltage, surge. It also generates alerts for various fault conditions and sends these alerts to web application along with time stamp for such alerts.

Web application

  • It is a cloud server based web application is compatible with both 3 phase and Single Phase systems.
  • Sends commands to the gateway to control the streetlights and receives commands from gateway to store parameters such as power consumption
  • All the data is stored within a database for subsequent processing and displayed on the Dashboard.
  • Turns ON/OFF streetlights as per Sunset and Sunrise time and a group of switching points can be turned on/off simultaneously. Grouping of switching point done by grouping them into various wards and grouping many wards into zones.
  • Hierarchical View of the entire network of switching point is possible
  • User levels with specified roles and responsibilities for each User level. For instance, Manager can generate energy consumption report while the operator cannot.
  • Login based authentication with a separate Username and password for each User
  • Data for 2 years is readily available while the data post 2 years is archived
  • Various reports such Energy Consumption, energy savings and On-hours reports can be generated (daily/weekly/monthly/Yearly) and can be exported in CSV format for further analysis.

Advantages

Key advantages of centralized controlling solution includes:

  • Monitor: Easy to monitor existing infrastructure of street lighting from a desktop, without having to employ dedicated personnel. Get reports about energy consumption of each set of lights. Monitoring also enable clients to get full knowledge of faults in the connected location and
  • Control: Change status of lights (ON or OFF or Dimming) from a remote location gives the clients a real time control.
  • Schedule: Program ON, OFF and dimming timing of lights by creating schedules based on weather conditions and geographical location.
  • Wireless technology: Connects switch nodes to the web without any additional wiring cost.
  • Energy savings: In case lighting conversion to newer technology (like LED) is taking place under an energy service model then centralized controller offers reliable savings by automated data reading straight to your office without having to rely on manual readings taken from the field.
  • Cost Savings: Save energy by turning ON lights only when required and then turning them OFF during daytime, without having to depend on manual labor for this job, reduced maintenance costs.
  • Safety: Turn lights ON automatically at dusk and provide a safe environment for commuters, pedestrians and women traveling at late hours. Eventually a line SPD protect your luminaries from high spike and ligthening.
  • Customization: You can customize your experience of centralized controller by working together with our team to generate custom reports and interfacing new sensors, enables area specific settings.

Standard functionality
  • Physical security of a LoRaWAN device
  • Cryptography
  • Session Key Distribution
  • Backend Interfaces Security
  • Implementation & Deployment Security
Standard functionality
  • The Security mechanisms incorporated rely on the well-tested and standardized AES1 cryptographic algorithms. These algorithms have been analyzed by the cryptographic community for many years are NIST approved and widely adopted as a best security practice for constrained nodes and networks.
  • LoRa security uses the AES cryptographic primitive combined with several modes of operation: CMAC2 for integrity protection and CTR3 for encryption. Each LoRa device is personalized with unique 128 bit AES key (called AppSkey) and a globally unique identifier (EUI-64 based DevEUI), both of which are used during the device authentication process.
  • Allocation of EUI-64 identifiers require the assignor to have an organizationally Unique identifier (OUI) from IEEE registration authority. Similarly, LoRa networks are identified by a 24-biit globally unique identifier assigned by the LoRa Alliance.

Advance Software Platform

Advance Software Platform

Aatapaha Intelligent Lighting Solution (AILS) centralized lighting platform is one of the first solutions in India to integrate with a Smart City Integrator's solution for the CCC approach, which is thanks to its technology/product agnostic development approach. AILS has been integrated with multiple state-level dashboards (New Delhi, AP, Rajasthan, etc) and utility billing software (like BSES, TPDDL). It is a complete solution with Admin, Customer and Maintenance applications inbuilt that caters to a variety of needs of different entities, within the value chain ecosystem with a concern to improvise the energy management, public security and safety.

Aatapaha's AILS is the most advanced platform for outdoor lighting control. The USP of the solution is that both Feeder level control (touchCMS) and individual light level control (TouchOne series) are both visible on one login, on the same dasgboard, user can control & access information regarding the entire city irrespective of the smart lighting technology used for automation of lights.

AILS can be divided in 3 major applications -
  • Admin view (for OEM users) & CRM linking through APIs
  • City view (for municipal and end customers) & Service view (for technical trouble shooting, manpower and spares planning)
  • Mobile app (for on the go access)
